How do I pay for a booking, if I decide to make one??
You can conveniently make purchases on our website using Visa or MasterCard. Simply complete your transaction online.
Is scuba diving insurance included for your PADI courses and day trips?
Yes, we provide basic dive insurance coverage for all our guests during PADI courses and day trips.
I can’t swim. Can I still go scuba diving??
Yes, non-swimmers can safely enjoy scuba diving by joining the PADI Discover Scuba Diving day trip at PHUKET DIVE PROVIDER. This package includes two or three dives, with no swimming ability required. Our PADI instructors will ensure your safety throughout the dives, which reach a maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet) and last up to 50 minutes or until 50 bar air pressure. We have taken thousands of non-swimmers diving since 2012, maintaining a 100% perfect safety record with no dive-related accidents.
Is dive equipment included in your prices?
Dive equipment is included with all PADI courses. For certified divers on our day trips, equipment rental is available at an additional cost of 400 Thai Baht per day, covering BCD, regulator, mask, fins, and a short wetsuit. Many certified divers prefer to bring their own gear. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask us.
Are dive computers included with the equipment?
Dive computers are provided for students taking PADI courses when needed. Certified divers on day trips can rent a dive computer for 300 THB if required. While optional for our day trips, you can easily book a dive computer along with your day trip reservation.
Can I fly after diving?
Current Divers Alert Network (D.A.N.) guidelines recommend a minimum pre-flight surface interval of 18 hours after multiple no-decompression dives or multiple days of diving, including liveaboard trips. This is because your body absorbs nitrogen while diving, and it takes several hours for the gas to naturally dissolve and leave your system. Flying immediately after diving can cause the nitrogen to form bubbles due to lower cabin pressure at altitude, leading to potentially life-threatening medical complications.
How long should I wait to fly after my last dive?
You should wait at least 18 hours before flying. If you’re diving with us on a day trip or course, avoid flying until after 11:30 am the next day. Liveaboard guests should wait 24 hours after their last dive before flying.
What are the Phi Phi National Park fees?
National Park fees are charges levied by Thai authorities on tourists, including scuba divers, upon entry to National Parks or National Marine Parks. These fees are subject to change. Currently, at Phi Phi, there is a 600 THB National Park fee for each scuba diver and 400 THB for each non-diver. It’s important to note that guests are required to pay their Phi Phi National Park fees in cash while aboard the dive boat.
Do I need a medical exam to enroll in a PADI course?
Guests enrolling in any PADI course with us must complete and sign the PADI medical statement. If you answer “no” to all questions and sign the statement, you can start diving immediately. If you answer “yes” to any questions, you’ll need a doctor’s certificate confirming your fitness to dive. There are many clinics in Phuket that offer this service, which takes just a few minutes and costs a few hundred Baht.
Are there power sockets available on the dive boats?
Yes, our dive boats are equipped with power sockets providing 220v output.
I can’t find my dive certification card. Can I still dive?
Yes, you can still dive. We can check your dive certification online through the PADI database. Please provide your full name (including any middle initials) as it appears on your PADI certification card, along with your date of birth.
Will I get cold scuba diving in Thailand?
It’s unlikely. The tropical sea temperatures around Thailand stay at 29°C (84°F) year-round. While you can dive in swimwear, we provide 3mm short wetsuits for extra insulation and warmth.
Can non-divers or snorkelers join the day trips?
Absolutely! We warmly welcome non-divers who wish to accompany their diving friends or family members. The price for each non-diver or snorkeler is 2,500 Thai Baht per day. This comprehensive package includes return transfers, snorkeling equipment, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and refreshments throughout the day. However, please note that the King Cruiser wreck trip is not suitable for snorkeling.
What happens in case of bad weather?
Safety is our top priority, and while we rarely cancel day trips due to weather conditions, we do so only when necessary to ensure customer safety. We typically proceed with trips even in rainy conditions but may cancel if high winds or waves are forecasted, prioritizing the safety of both our passengers and dive boat. Please rest assured that any cancellations made are done so with careful consideration and your safety in mind.
Do you accommodate vegetarians or special dietary requirements?
Absolutely! Please inform us of any dietary preferences or restrictions at the time of booking. It’s worth noting that our dive boats do not serve pork, and our meals typically consist of a delightful blend of Western and Asian cuisine, often including Halal options. Rest assured, our food is usually excellent.
Do you provide DIN adapters for guests who need them?
Yes, we provide DIN adapters free of charge for guests taking PADI courses or day trips with us.
